Asana Medical, Inc. to Present at 2015 BIO International Convention June 15th – 18th

Miami Lakes, FL – June 1, 2015 – Asana Medical, Inc., (“Asana”, the “Company”) an emerging medical device company focused on the development and commercialization of its innovative tissue-engineered therapy to treat Inflammatory Bowel Disease (“IBD”), is pleased to announce that it will be participating as an exhibitor and presenter at the 2015 BIO International Convention being held in Philadelphia, PA. June 15^th – 18^th.

Mr. Ramer is scheduled to present at 11:40 am on June 16^th in the Empire State Theatre located at the New York Bio Pavilion, Booth #3949.

Asana’s lead product “ECMH” is being initially developed to treat ulcerative colitis, one major form of IBD. Future generations of Asana’s product will be applied to Crohn’s Disease, the other major form of IBD, and possibly to other gastrointestinal conditions. ECMH is a hydrogel composed of porcine extracellular matrix, which will be delivered to the diseased colon to build a protective barrier and create a scaffold for natural tissue recovery to occur. Extracellular matrix (ECM) products have demonstrated excellent safety and efficacy in multiple clinical applications, including esophageal repair, hernia repair, pericardial closures, and burn and wound treatments. It has been successfully commercialized for over a decade. Asana’s ECMH technology offers the promise of a non-pharmacologic, non-surgical treatment for UC.
